An Evening of Socializing

Guests enjoying cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at Ron and Anne Augier’s home during the 10th Annual Progressive Dinner.

April 28, 2012 marked the date of the Tenth Annual Progressive Dinner.  With over 80 attendees and 18 hosts and hostesses the night was a huge success!  As in previous years, all proceeds from this event benefit the residents of Villa Angela at St. Anne Home and the St. Felix Benevolent Care Fund.

The Progressive Dinner included a four course meal, which was served in the homes of friends and family members of St. Anne Home.  The guests were assigned where they would partake in the different courses and when one course was over, they were asked to “progress” to the next assigned home.

Our hosts and hostesses out did themselves tremendously with their delicious meals that included some of their special recipes.  Each host is given full reign over what they wish to prepare and serve their guests.

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Aungier, Dr. and Mrs. Denny Blasiole, Mr. and Mrs. John Kline, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Nies and Mr. and Mrs. James Skatell hosted cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.  Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Anderson, Mrs. Pat Fenton, The Sisters of St. Emma’s, Felician Sisters of North America, The Sisters of Charity, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Novak and Mr. and Mrs. John Chiado hosted soup and salad.  Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Vallozzi, Dr. and Mrs. Thomas DeGregory, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Deemer, Rizzo’s and Dr. and Mrs. Robert Tymoczko hosted entrees.

Desserts were hosted for all the guests and hosts at the Latrobe Country Club.  Even though our guests were filled after all the deliciously prepared foods, they still saved room for a wide variety of wonderful cakes.

Congratulations on a job well done to our 2012 Progressive Dinner committee members.  A special thanks to Anne Aungier and Paula Pedicone as co-chairs.  Thank you to all those who contributed to the success of this event.

So if you love to entertain consider being a host or hostess for the 2013 dinner or if you love to eat, grab some of your friends and join in on the fun!
