2013 St. Anne Home Lottery Calendar

Volunteers Needed!

The 2013 St. Anne Home Lottery Calendars are already being sold and will be available for purchase until the end of the year.  The annual calendar has been a very popular item and during its history the calendar has netted over $500,000 to benefit the residents on the St. Anne Home campus!

However to make this project a success, St. Anne Home relies on many volunteers to help with selling the 3,000 calendars in area parishes and in the community.  If you are interested in volunteering to help sell the 2013 calendars, please complete the coupon below and mail it to the Development Office at St. Anne Home.  For more information, call St. Anne Home at (724) 837-6070.

Special Ways to Make a Gift

Memorial Gifts - Make a gift in loving memory of a family member or friend to continue the healing mission of St. Anne Home. Memorial envelopes are available at St. Anne Home or you can mail your contribution to the Development Office. Your gift will allow St. Anne Home to expand its services and insure quality care.

Memorial & Tribute Courtyard - We are inviting you to help build the Memorial & Tribute Courtyard by purchasing a brick or bricks to honor your family member or friend. The bricks will be engraved and placed in the courtyard walkway and on the patio. In addition to honoring your loved one, each brick will contribute to the beauty and serenity of our courtyard and patio and help St. Anne Home continue our mission.

Your message, which can be a memorial or a tribute, will be engraved on a 4" x 8" brick and be placed in your choice of the circular walk in the courtyard or in the patio. We request a $100 donation for bricks placed in the walk, and a $125 donation for the limited edition bricks placed in the patio.

Planned Giving – St. Anne Home has instituted a Planned Giving program to give supporters sound personal, financial and estate planning concepts so that the individual can plan for a lifetime testamentary giving. To learn more about how you can contribute through a planned gift, please contact the Development Office.

General Donations - Contributions of any denomination are continually accepted. These unrestricted gifts are used to purchase items and equipment needed daily by our residents.

Lottery Calendar - For the past 16 years, St. Anne Home has sponsored a lottery calendar, the proceeds of which have funded new mattresses, low beds, a benevolent care fund, and many other programs. The 2010 St. Anne Home Lottery Calendar will also provide funding for many programs to enhance the lives of residents in both our nursing center and assisted living community.

Calendars go on sale annually the first weekend in August for a $25 donation.

Special Events - St. Anne Home hosts two major fundraising events annually that help support the mission. If you are interested in attending or volunteering for one or both of our events, please contact the Development Office.

The Progressive Dinner is held in the Spring (usually late April/early May) and includes a four-course meal, which is served in the homes of friends and family members of St. Anne Home from around the local communities. All proceeds from this event benefit the residents of Villa Angela at St. Anne Home and the St. Felix Benevolent Care Fund. The Committee is continually seeking individuals and couples who would be interested in serving as a host for the event. Invitations are sent out approx. 6 weeks before the event however anyone who is interested may attend.

The second event of the year is the "Harvest of Blessings" Auction and Social. This event is usually held in October or November. In order to raise the funds needed for the residents of St. Anne Home, Chinese, Silent and Live Auctions are held throughout the night in addition to several raffles and other games of chance. Corporate Sponsors are solicited for the event as well as local businesses and retailers for donations of prizes and monetary gifts. Invitations are sent out approx. 6 weeks before the event however anyone who is interested may attend.

This year's event was held on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at the Stratigos Banquet Centre in North Huntingdon.

Art Gallery – Local artists are invited to display their work in the St. Anne Home Art Gallery. 20% of the sales go directly to St. Anne Home.

Currently artwork done by Stanley Beloncis from Irwin is on display.  His works include dogs, sports figures, landscapes, animals, historical sites, etc.  Stanley is also available to take special requests to fit your needs.

"A Harvest of Blessings" Cookbook - With over 350 delectable recipes from local celebrities and restaurants, friends and family members, this book is sure to be a hit with any chef. The cookbooks can be purchased at the Front Desk for a $20 donation.

Easter Candy Sale - Annually St. Anne Home hosts a Easter Candy Sale. We sell Sarris Candies and this fundraiser starts approx. two months before Easter. Order forms can be obtained at the Front Desk.

Special Raffles – Held throughout the year at the front desk

Annual Appeal - St. Anne Home asks all it's friends and family members to make an annual gift that will help to fund wheelchairs, furniture, slings, mechanical lifts, music therapy, CD's, videos, and many other much needed equipment and recreational items. Letters requesting a pledge or gift are sent in July however gifts are continually accepted throughout the year.

St. Felix Benevolent Care Fund - Currently there are no federal or state funding mechanisms to help older citizens meet the cost of assisted living. St. Anne Home realizes that some residents who live at Villa Angela may eventually deplete their resources therefore; St. Anne Home has established the St. Felix Benevolent Care Fund to help residents of Villa Angela maintain their apartments and services. The Purpose of the St. Felix Benevolent Care Fund is to assist the residents with the greatest need who do not have other options for help available to them. Donations are continually accepted to help maintain this fund.

Printer Cartridge Recycling - If you use an inkjet printer at home or at work, please place your empty inkjet cartridge from your printer in a zip lock bag and turn it into the Development Office. With your help we can generate money that is very much needed. St. Anne Home will receive approximately $2 for each cartridge that is returned. Please encourage family, friends and neighbors to participate in our recycling program.

Matching Gifts - If you or your spouse work for a company that makes matching gifts to health care facilities or nursing homes, you can double your donation to St. Anne Home. Just ask your employer for a matching gift form and mail it with your donation to St. Anne Home.

United Way -  St. Anne Home is a part of the United Way Contributor’s Choice program and is set up to receive donations given through the United Way.   Designate St. Anne Home Agency Code #1143 when making a contribution.
